Project Manifest
Project Manifest was a project I got to work on as a senior at Columbia College Chicago. The idea for this project was to select one color from the options we were given and create an illustration using that color that would be used as a promotional asset for our desired market. This was a great opportunity to share ideas, collaborate with others, and work as a team to prepare and hang our posters on the windows of Columbia College in the city of Chicago.
Before Installation
Prior to installing the posters, a group of talented artist and I worked together on trimming all 62 posters! Ensuring all posters looked clean and ready to be installed on the windows of Columbia College Chicago.
The Idea Behind the Work
The title for this poster is El Xolo Y La Luna, which was inspired by the Xoloitzcuintle dog breed and their significance in Mexican culture. These dogs were once viewed as the night star and believed to have guided the souls of the dead to the after life. Today, they are still extremely important to the culture and often associated with marigold flowers as well as Dia De Los Muertos. This poster is 42x96 inches and located on 754 S Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL.
